Marcin Piatkowski

Dr. Marcin Piatkowski is Professor of Economics at Kozminski University in Warsaw, the highest ranked business school in Central and Eastern Europe, and a Program Leader at the World Bank in New Delhi. Prior to that, he was Chief Economist and Managing Director of PKO BP, the largest bank in Poland, economist in the European Department of the IMF and Advisor to IMF's Executive Director. He also served as Advisor to Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. He holds a Ph.D. and habilitation in Economics from Kozminski University and an M.A. in Finance and Banking summa cum laude from the Warsaw School of Economics. He was a visiting scholar at Harvard University, London Business School and the OECD Development Center. He has published extensively on economic development, innovation and competitiveness. Michael Schrage

Digital Fellow at MIT Sloan School's Initiative on the Digital Economy. Michael Schrage's research, writing and advisory work explores the 'behavioral economics' of models, experiments and metrics as media and mechanisms for transforming how organizations create and cultivate customer lifetime value. He's pioneered and introduced 'promptathons' as tools for empowering enterprises to better understand and cost-effectively embrace generative/predictive AI capabilities. In addition to his teaching and advisory work, he is author of "The Innovator's Hypothesis" [MIT Press 2014], "Who Do You Want Your Customers To Become? [Harvard Business Review Press 2012] and 'Serious Play' [Harvard Business Review Press 2000].His latest book on 'Recommendation Engines' and the future of advice and agency was also published by the MIT Press.
