Problem

The world won't get any simpler. The strategy has to work differently

Until recently, it was possible to build a strategy based on relatively stable assumptions about customers, competitors, and the economic environment. Today, many of these assumptions become outdated faster than the strategic plan itself. Uncertainty, geopolitics, industry convergence, and the AI revolution do not spell the end of strategy—they spell the end of strategy as a rigid, long-term plan.

If you’re in charge of your company’s strategy, you know one thing: the world isn’t going to get any simpler. The problem is usually not a lack of strategy, but rather that key areas of competitive advantage aren’t being developed systematically—and each of them, taken individually, can today determine the company’s position. Ignore even one, and the competition will find your weakness there.

Program Concept

The best strategists have stopped predicting the future. See what they're doing instead

A modern strategy is a dynamic process of making choices, testing assumptions, and adapting—not a rigid, long-term plan. ICAN Strategic Leadership Academy™ is based on two pillars that today offer a real advantage in strategic management: Strategic Foresight and AI. These are now the tools of a leader who seeks to Academy™ is built on two pillars that today offer a real advantage in strategic management: Strategic Foresight and AI. These are now the tools of the leader who wants not only to survive turbulence, but to use it to grow.

Pillar 1

Strategic Foresight

Modern foresight is not futurology, but a management system that prepares an organization for many possible worlds. It is the first pillar of the program and a key tool for leaders who want to succeed in the face of uncertainty.

  • Detect weak signals before the competition does
  • Create 3–4 vastly different scenarios instead of a single forecast
  • Identify decisions that hold true in all situations
  • Monitor “signposts” that indicate market trends
  • Create a portfolio of strategic options for rapid implementation
+
Pillar 2

AI in Strategic Management

How AI is changing business models, competition, pricing, innovation, and decision-making processes. This is the second pillar of the program—a tool that reduces the time needed for foresight by 80–90% and strengthens a leader’s decisions.

  • Signs of Change– AI analyzes thousands of sources and identifies signals that a human would never have noticed.
  • Scenario Building– AI creates prototypes, simulates outcomes, and tests the resilience of decisions.
  • The Dashboard of the Future– AI systems provide management teams with alerts when scenarios begin to unfold .
  • AI that can be implemented as early as tomorrow and applied in key areas of the company.
  • Practical examples of AI applications in all sessions.
Synergy effect

The world's most effective organizations learn faster than their environment changes, spot signals earlier than the competition, and experiment in small steps, combining foresight and AI into a single system.

A New Approach to Strategy

Every strategic leader must implement these 6 changes

To succeed, leaders must change the way they think about strategy in six key areas. The ICAN Strategic Leadership Academy™ teaches you how to navigate every change.

6 Changes in the Approach to Strategy – ICAN Strategic Leadership Academy™
1
From Forecasting to Strategic Forecasting

Don't try to predict a single future—develop scenarios and see which decisions work best in every situation.

The Leader's QuestionWhat would have to happen for your current strategy to stop working?

2
From a Single Plan to a Portfolio of Options

Keep a few realistic strategic options open, assess the situation, and know when to implement them.

Leader's QuestionWhat options do you want to keep until you know more about the market?

3
From Big Decisions to Experimentation

Test hypotheses on a small scale, learn quickly, and scale up what works.

A Question from the LeaderWhat can you test in 30 days instead of spending half a year analyzing?

4
From Looking Back to Forward-Looking Indicators

You need indicators of what's to come—not just past financial results.

The Leader's QuestionWhat signs would tell you that the world is changing in a significant way?

5
From Efficiency Alone to Resilience and Adaptability

The advantage lies in the ability to quickly reorganize resources and the operational model—not in a model that is optimally designed.

A Leader's QuestionCan your organization change faster than the environment around it?

6
From Defending Against to Exploiting Turbulence

Uncertainty isn't just a threat—it's an opportunity to win over customers, attract talent, and capture the market.

The Leader's QuestionWhat kind of competitive advantage can you build precisely because the market is volatile?

Can I send someone else from the company to the session?
+

Yes. If there are personnel changes at your company during the program, you may replace a participant who was previously assigned to the training with another person from the company.

What is a typical training day like?

20% theory and concepts – 80% practice. The course includes exercises, mini-case studies, group and pair work, and simulations, all conducted using modern and interactive tools. Before each session, participants engage in self-reflection and complete a pre-work assignment; after the session, they are provided with tools and an implementation assignment.
